Mental Health Awareness Campaign Launches

This month, Unity and Hope Foundation officially launched its region-wide mental health awareness campaign, with a particular focus on youth and caregivers in rural communities — populations that have historically had the least access to mental health education and support.

The campaign includes community dialogues, radio broadcasts, school outreach programmes, and the distribution of mental health first aid guides in local languages.

**Why this matters:** Mental health conditions remain deeply stigmatised in many parts of Central Africa. Our goal is not only to raise awareness but to shift cultural attitudes — creating communities where people feel safe to speak openly and seek help.
